Abstract | In order to increase dust measurement precision and real-time capacity, an improved dust monitoring system was presented. One master with three extensions was adopted at measuring point and the data fusion was adopted. Furthermore, to solve the problem of coal-dust explosion limit reducing once the gas gathering occur, the explosion parameters were detected by multi-sensor and the information of dust, gas concentration and temperature from sensors were carried on fuzzy processing to be fused based on fuzzy information and fusion theory. The system can finish fusion computing and decision-making of various system parameters to realize the early prediction for mine explosion successfully. The experimental results indicate that the discerning accuracy and reliability of mine explosion detection system is greatly increased based on fuzzy information and data fusion. It is concluded that the system is of great significance to coal mine production safety. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
