Abstract	This paper presents the design of a low-cost physical parameter measurement device used to monitor useful parameters like heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, etc. of a human subject. These measurements are wirelessly transmitted to a receiver which sends out an alarm if any of these values are out of the expected predicted measurements. This device consists of a wrist unit incorporated with the electronics for the sensors and a remote PC for data logging and alarm. The device consists of sensors that detect if the user needs medical attention and sends out an alarm to eliminate the need for a caregiver to monitor the patient all day. The device is intended to provide continuous medical monitoring without causing inconvenience to the user to be able to wear it all the time. The sensors used provide measurements for the heart rate, temperature, blood oxygen saturation and impact. These measurements are in analog form so a microcontroller is used to convert them into digital form and perform the required signal manipulation to provide the monitoring.
