Abstract | The Color sorting technology is the core of color sorters. At present there are many image processing and recognition techniques applied to the color sorting technology. In this paper, we applied the Image Texture Analysis methods to identify the quality of the rice. We can collect the rice image through the CCD camera. Using the GLCM (Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix) algorithm to deal with acquisition data of the rice image, by calculating the Energy, Entropy, Moment of Inertia and Relevance characteristic values of the rice at 0°, 45°, 90°, 135° direction. And comparing with the standard data of the intact rice, thus we can identify the quality of rice. Through used the MATLAB simulation experiment research, verify the effectiveness of the above color sorting algorithm, and obtained satisfactory results. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
