Abstract | This project aims to offer advancing technologies for overall development of the railway station. Allotment of platform to number of trains in less time interval is quite difficult with the token system because this is done just on guess which is not that much efficient and moreover, a minor mistake in estimation may lead to an accident which may bring a lot of lives into danger. So there is a great need of change in this technology. In this project we sorted out this problem and got a very efficient solution. We used RFID tag and ZIGBEE interfaced with MSP430 to send train's unique id to server room and server room will allot the platform which can be finally displayed on LCD screen and some other essential information which is placed in front of train driver and there is no chance of mistake in estimating the arrival time of train. It is a prototype system which resolves the issue of allotment of platform to the trains arriving to a particular station. By implementing this system into the present system of railways the risk of accidents could be minimized. Our project is in fact derived from the problem that our Indian Railway system is actually facing. In past, we had seen many brain numbing accidents that had cost us many precious lives. These accidents contribute to a great loss of innocent lives and put a sad impact on our mind. Our project is a little attempt, a small step put forward to ensure the safety of passengers travelling in trains. Moreover, the implementation of our design also features to prevent the chances of stampede that are often caused on railway stations because of wrong information provided to the passengers. In this prototype system we had used MSP430 launchpad, MSP EXP430F5438, ZIGBEE, LCD, RFID reader, RFID tags, IR led, transistors. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

NDLI is a conglomeration of freely available or institutionally contributed or donated or publisher managed contents. Almost all these contents are hosted and accessed from respective sources. The responsibility for authenticity, relevance, completeness, accuracy, reliability and suitability of these contents rests with the respective organization and NDLI has no responsibility or liability for these. Every effort is made to keep the NDLI portal up and running smoothly unless there are some unavoidable technical issues.
Ministry of Education, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), has sponsored and funded the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) project.
